About Be Beyond

The name Be Beyond expresses a passion to not only define where you want to go – as leader, team or organization – but to actually realize it. To be who you want to be, and to be where you want to be. We support you on this journey and help you realize it.
Be Beyond is a network of experienced coaches, leaders in the world of business, facilitators and partner organisations working globally. We all have a passion for transformation, engagement and leadership. In our programs we draw on vast experience as well as the latest research and our clients expertise and knowledge of their reality. For each engagement we will create the best fitting team for you.
We work with clients across geographies and industries, varying is size from multinational to start-up. We respect the trust our clients place in us and keep high confidentiality standards. Therefor we don’t openly publicize a client list. In a conversation we gladly elaborate on typical cases and challenges we have supported clients on.
Marieke van den Toorn
I am Marieke, founder of Be Beyond. I started my career in marketing and gained a lot of local, regional and global experience during 10 years with Douwe Egberts and Unilever. These years fueled my interest in people, wanting to understand their underlying needs. I then moved into strategic marketing consultancy and became a partner at Effective Brands and Kantar Vermeer (now Kantar Consulting) where I was globally responsible for the Organization Practice. During those years I increasingly shifted my focus to people within organizations.
With the step to start Be Beyond in 2018 I am realizing my purpose to help leaders lead, and to increase work happiness for themselves and all the people around them. We spend so much time at work, we better make it a happy place for ourselves and those we work with.
Combining experience in marketing, consulting, facilitation and coaching I link business challenges and strategic context to the human side and people in the organization.
I love challenges and am known for my high energy levels, my drive and my laughter. I thrive on driving business, teams and individuals forward by engaging and inspiring hearts, minds and souls. I am fluent in German, English and Dutch and have worked globally for the last 20 years. I love travel and experiencing different cultures, but just as much love being home with my husband and two teenage children.
I hold certifications from several organizations on leadership development, coaching and organizational culture.
